Day 25- My final Day

I just wanted to say thank you to all who participated and for letting me be in the group this year.  Hoping I get to do this next year.  I might need some friendly reminders.  It was so wonderfull and a blessing to learn about different people and stories.  I leave you with this.

My Grown Up Christmas List

No more lives torn apart.  That wars would never start.  And time would heal all hearts.  And everyone would have a friend- And right would always win.  And love would never end.  This is my grown up Christmas list.

Merry Christmas and God Bless- Louann

Day 24 A Christmas Prayer

Loving Father

Help us remember the birth of Jesus, that we may share in the song of the angels, the gladness of the shepherds and worship wise men.

Close the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world.  Let kindness come with every gift and good desires with every greeting.  Deliver us from evil by the blessing which Christ brings and teach us to be merry with clear hearts.

May the Christmas morning make us happy to be thy children and Christmas evening bring us to our beds with gratefull thoughts, forgiving and forgiven for Jesus’ sake.

Amen

Day 23 Christmas Poem – I wanted to find something peace related and about Christmas

IF YOU LOOK FOR ME AT CHRISTMAS

you wont need a special star- I’m no longer in bethlehem. I’m right there where you are.  You may not be aware of Me amid the celebrations- You’ll have to look beyond the stores and all the decorations.  But if you take a moment from your list of things to do. and listen to your heart, you;ll find I’m waiting there for you.  You’re the one I want to be with. and you’ll find Me in the stillness as I’m whispering your name.

Love Jesus

Day 21 More about fruits of the Spirit

The fruits that the apostle Paul talks about are not natural to any of us without God’s Spirit living inside us.. At the same time, they dont explode out of all us like pieces of dyanamite that are set off instantly when we ask God to come in.  They grow and develop from one another which means you start with one and that leads into the next one, and the next one.  Then a huge tree of fruits are perfectly developed and ready to be enjoyed as can possibly be.

Day 20 How can we have peace in a fighting world.

How can we have peace when half of the people in this world seem to be fighting the other half?  Peace is what you feel inside where it might not be visible.  You can’t see someone else’s peace until you know them long enough to sense what they are feeling.  John 14:27  Peace I leave you, my peace I give unto you not as the world giveth, give I unto you.. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.   Jesus made it very clear that He meant for His disciples to have peace in their hearts even when things are rough in other parts of our lives.

Day 19 A New Book

Started reading a new book today called Fruit Happens.  The fruits of the spirit are faithfullness, PEACE, patience, love, self-control, joy, kindness, goodness, and gentleness.  By their fruits ye shall know them.  Matthew 7:20  The fruits they are talking about are  not like an apple or pear, but something that grows.  The Spirit part of the fruit is God living inside us and when He  lives there it changes us.  Each fruit is one more way of living your life. or  dealing with others, and learning to be more like God.

Day 18 Special needs and peace

I have three kids with Autism – different types and on top tourettes with one.  At my house with sensory issues and need of making routines in a schedule. it can be a little overwhelming at times.  The boys have shown me how to look at the world in a different way with their feelings, sensory issues, and eyes.  I get to see a world of peace and no fear threw their eyes, but as mom i tend to be overprotective , what we and others see peace as differs for everyone.,  The best peace comes from God alone.

Day 17 Running Behind

Its been a little crazy here I had my youngest to Er tonight with Bronchitis, and my daughter is sick too.  A busy mom of 5- 4 kids with different special needs sometimes i feel there is no peace till I have time to myself after the kids go to bed, while i am reading , and praying to God.   They say God never gives you more then you can handle.  Well when times do get hard, the Lord reminds me there is peace found threw him.

Day 16 A wonderfull peace from God alone.

We went for our last visit today at Human Services to see our Granddaughter,  I prayed to God for strength and peace of mind, to know I was doing the right thing by letting her be adopted to this wonderfull family.  We took presents over for her and her new family, and I was surprised but the mom says Merry Christmas and hands me a big envelope.  She says here is pictures of her from the beginnng and until now I wanted you to see we will love her, take care of her, and she has a nice home with pets and siblings,.  I know you werent there for alot of things but wanted to share these moments with you.  She took our picture with our granddaughter and promised to show her and she said we will keep contact.  I thank God he gave me peace I wrote her  a letter last night telling her I was never wanting to take her away from them that I just wanted to feel I had a piece of my son with me.  God gave me peace to thank her and tell her she is the right parents for my granddaughter.  and before this I would of not given up even if it did cost alot of money.  God taught me to look at my granddaughter;s best interest not what I wanted.  I finally felt at peace with this today,.
